Behind the scenes: Sea Moss Gel in the making!
When it comes to high-quality sea moss gel, it’s all about the process.

First, I thoroughly clean the sea moss to remove any sand, debris, or ocean residue. Then it gets a nice long soak — at least 24 hours (sometimes up to 48!) — to rehydrate and soften it.
Only after that is it ready to blend into the nutrient-packed gel you know and love. From there, you can add any flavor you’d like — fruit, herbs, or even a simple splash of lime.

Clean. Soak. Blend. Enjoy.
That’s how we do it around here.

Hi, I’m Marcy, the woman behind Rooted2Wellness! I’m so glad you’re here, and I thought it was time to introduce myself to all of my new followers.

I’m a single mom of three amazing kids, living out in the quiet countryside of Amboy, Illinois. For the past 23 years, I’ve worked as a licensed respiratory therapist, helping people breathe easier and live healthier lives. About 10 years ago, my curiosity for root cause wellness took me back to school — I earned my bachelor’s in Alternative Medicine and later completed my master’s in Holistic Nutrition. Along the way, I dove deep into the world of herbalism, aromatherapy, and other natural modalities.

Last February, I officially opened my small business, Rooted2Wellness, where I handcraft small-batch herbal products designed to nourish, soothe, and support the body naturally. You can currently find my products at Emerald Beauty Bar in Amboy and The Beach Club Tanning & More in Mendota — and I’m excited to expand even more!

As for my family — my oldest son works in the metal roofing industry, my daughter is off to Northern Illinois University this fall, and my youngest (a junior) will graduate early in December, with plans to pursue a career in plumbing (I’m a big fan of the trades!).
